• 1tsp dried yeast
  • 350g strong white flour
  • 200ml water
  • 25g soft butter
  • 1tsp salt
  • 25g caster sugar
  1. Add the yeast and water to a bowl, stir and leave to activate for 10 minutes
  2. Add the flour, sugar, salt, yeast and butter to a large bowl and mix until well combined
  3. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth, then cover and leave to rise for 1 hour
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each into a ball
  5. Flatten the balls with the heel of your hand then place on a lined baking tray and place inside a plastic bag for another hour
  6. Heat the oven to 200C
  7. Dust the top of the dough balls with flour or sesame seeds and bake for 10 minutes until golden
  8. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before slicing in half
