
- 1tsp dried yeast
- 350g strong white flour
- 200ml water
- 25g soft butter
- 1tsp salt
- 25g caster sugar
- Add the yeast and water to a bowl, stir and leave to activate for 10 minutes
- Add the flour, sugar, salt, yeast and butter to a large bowl and mix until well combined
- Knead for 10 minutes until smooth, then cover and leave to rise for 1 hour
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each into a ball
- Flatten the balls with the heel of your hand then place on a lined baking tray and place inside a plastic bag for another hour
- Heat the oven to 200C
- Dust the top of the dough balls with flour or sesame seeds and bake for 10 minutes until golden
- Leave to cool for 10 minutes before slicing in half
